A.J. Kopacz had a goal and an assist to lead Oratory past Union Catholic in the second round of the Union County Tournament. Oratory came out ready to play and soon found themselves ahead as James Gagliano whipped in a free kick that found the head of A.J., and his header met the foot of Will Gagliano, who slotted the ball into the back of the net. Things remained 1-0 until about 15 minutes remaining, when James Gagliano once again delivered a perfect set piece, this time a corner kick, and A.J. smashed the ball into the right corner of the net with a header. Sebastian Ramirez had 6 saves to keep the shutout, and the Oratory defense prevented Union Catholic from creating any further the chances. The Quarterfinals of the County Tournament will be played next Saturday, with Oratory looking to defeat the #2 seed Westfield.
