Lacrosse Early Season Recap
April 8, 2016
The beginning of the season is known to be tough on younger teams due to the need of morale. This is currently the case for OP’s lacrosse team.
After an upsetting season opener at Millburn (a loss of 10-4), the team’s chemistry declined going into the St. Peter’s Prep home opener which led to poor play as well (a 14-3 loss). After watching some film and watching the kind of effort put in, the answer to their bad start was on the projector. The team was giving up on certain plays that were crucial. An easy fix? Give maximum effort at all times. The boys are going to bounce back in their second home game on Wednesday against their conference rivals, Cranford, who are also going to be hungry given their rocky start as well.
