Europa League Final Preview

The road to Basel ends on May 18th as Liverpool faces Sevilla in the Europa League final. Both clubs have overcome fierce competition to get here. Liverpool beat the likes of Dortmund, Manchester United, and Villarreal to get to the final. Sevilla, a team that got knocked down to the Europa League after finishing 3rd in their champions league group, consisting of Manchester City and Juventus, has somehow made it to the final. Without a single away win this season, Sevilla defied the odds and made it to the final. Liverpool has a few injuries, but players Henderson and Origi might be healthy in time for the final. Sevilla’s four injured players, however, aren’t expected to make the match. Sevilla have won the Europa League two times in a row, and they’ll be looking for a third trophy. Liverpool can look back at the amazing wins they’ve had this season and the fact that Sevilla haven’t won a game away from Spain this season to spur them on. The game is set to be a good one, one that will most likely go down to the wire.
