Senora Fleitas Interview for the Omega

Chris Ocker, Staff Writer

Señora Fleitas is the new Spanish teacher here at Oratory. I recently got the chance to interview her and ask some important questions on students’ minds.

Q: Are you enjoying your experience at Oratory so far?

A: Very much. The faculty is very welcoming and helpful, the students are all wonderful, and the administration is very supportive.

Q: How long have you been teaching Spanish?

A: Almost thirty years.

Q: What is your spirit animal?

A: A wolf. I love wolves and respect them. They are all loyal to one another. I also really like the character Wolverine so that is another reason.

Q: What are your hobbies and interests?

A: I am somewhat of a movie buff. My son and I watch some older movies together, so I have seen many movies in my life. I really enjoy writing poetry and reading historical fiction.

Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you bring with you?

A: I would bring my favorite novel to keep me entertained, a blanket just in case it gets cold, and (if she was willing) my best friend.

Q: What do you want students to know about you?

A: I am always on your side as long as you do you work. As long as you work hard and do not slack, I will always being willing to help.
Señora Fleitas is already a wonderful addition to the OP community. So, if you see her in the hallway, make sure to greet her will a big “¡Hola!”
