NFL Week 15 Recap

Week 15 of the NFL season had many close games. Notable matches this week were: Lions @ Giants (6-17), Eagles @ Ravens (26-27), Steelers @ Bengals (24-20), Packers @ Bears (30-27), Titans @ Chiefs (19-17), Jaguars @ Texans (20-21), Saints @ Cardinals (48-41), Patriots @ Broncos (16-3), Raiders @ Chargers (19-16), Buccaneers @ Cowboys (20-26), and Panthers @ Redskins (26-15).
Week 15 saw some new names climb to near the top of the chart in stats. Drew Brees threw for 389 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Saints to a 48-41 shootout victory over the Cardinals. Matt Barkley (Bears) threw for 362 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in a loss to the Packers. Ty Montgomery (Packers), surprised people by rushing for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Devonta Freeman (Falcons) rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns in a rout of the 49ers. Brandin Cooks (Saints) recorded 186 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Tyler Lockett (Seahawks) recorded 130 yards and a touchdown. Kwon Alexander led the league in tackles this week, recording 21 total tackles for the Buccaneers. Major injuries this week include Janoris Jenkins (Giants, ribs), Lamar Miller (Texans, ankle), Derek Wolfe (Broncos, neck), Darius Slay (Lions, hamstring), Tyrell Williams (Chargers, concussion), and Vontaze Burfict (Bengals, concussion).
The trek to the postseason continues this Christmas week. The Giants play the Eagles on Thursday, with the Lions and Cowboys playing Monday. Important Saturday matches include Falcons @ Panthers, Jets @ Patriots, Vikings @ packers, Colts @ Raiders, Buccaneers @ Saints, Cardinals @ Seahawks, and Bengals @ Texans. The Christmas day matchups are Ravens @ Steelers and Broncos @ Chiefs.
