Goals at the Halfway Mark
January 24, 2017
Believe it or not we are halfway through the school year. Although it seemed fast, many of my fellow sophomores have noticed what they want to improve on. Some were kind enough to express what they want to do better in the second half of the school year or the last 2 quarters. Maybe you have had trouble picking something to try to improve on in the second half of the year. If so, my friends and I can help you. Our goals vary from athletics, academics, and to home life. I interviewed people who are often very busy to show the different types of goals that people have.
Joseph Cranley: 3 sport athlete, Sophomore
Q: Hey Joseph, what would you like to improve on in the second half of the year?
A: First, I want to get 8-10 hrs of sleep per night. Athletically I want to achieve a 4:20 mile. Academically, I want to avoid doing projects or assignments the day they are do. I would also like to achieve St.Philip Neri twice.
Sean Vowells: Soccer and Varsity Golf player
Q: Hey Sean, what do you want to do better at in the last 2 quarters of the year?
A: My goal is to get Academic High Honors for quarter 3/4 and average a 39.0 or better in high school golf matches this year.
Joseph Meade: 2 sport athlete
Q: What should I do better at in the last 2 quarters of the year?
A: I want my final average in all classes to be better than what they were last year. For example, if my final history grade last year was a 94, I want my final average this year to be a 95. I also want to have a set bedtime so I can be more energetic in the morning.
