On Saturday, the varsity cross country team won the Six Flags Invitational. The entire top seven placed in the top nineteen in an impressive victory over other teams including second place Manasquan. The meet consisted of a fast course around the famous King Da Ka (seen in the picture) and within the Six Flags Safari Park. Michael Cantaluppi led the team, finishing in fifth place (17:08).  Fernando Aviles and Addison Drone finished in eighth and ninth place respectively with times of 17:24 and 17:26, a PR for Addison. Casey McKee, Aidan Watkins, and  Eric Rhines finished in 14th, 15th, and 16th place with times of 17:47, 17:54, and 18:06 respectively. Jake Noss finished 19th with a time of 18:16. The varsity average was 17:31, edging out second place Manasquan by ten seconds. This is one of the best meet averages for the team in OP history.

JV also had a solid race with strong paces. There was some confusion about the course, and there is uncertainty if the times were correct. Nonetheless, the team ran well in the JV race and placed in third place. The JV crew was led by Corey Vita (7th place) and Alexander Rickard (8th place).
