As OP Varsity Baseball continues to dominate within the conference, OP JV Baseball also continues to impress, showcasing the upcoming talent within the baseball program for the Rams. The team began its season 2-0 with impressive wins against Brearly and Dayton, outscoring opponents 22-4 in those two games. After losing a tough game against Governor Livingston 13-4, the team bounced back exceptionally well, winning its next three games against conference opponents Linden, Brearly, and Plainfield. Star pitching performances by George Castro, Jason Chacon, Cole Weintraub, and Connor Keaveney resulted in the Rams giving up only 5 runs in those three conference games. This past Tuesday, the Rams won their 6th game of the season, improving to 6-3 on the year. Key contributions from Freshmen Robert Grasso, Alex Fudenna, Kyle Hart, and Evan O’Dowd have allowed for the teams great success this season. The JV squad’s next game is against Linden this Thursday, as the Rams look to improve to 7-3 on the year.
