Spider-Man: No Way Home Preview and Expectations
October 25, 2021
Spider-Man is one of the major superheroes not only in the MCU but in the world of superheroes. But what makes Spider-Man so special is that there’s not just one Spider-Man. Weird, right? You have the original Spider-Man, Toby McGuire. You have the Amazing Spider-Man series with Andrew Garfield. And finally, the current Spider-Man, Tom Holland. They are all great Peter Parkers who define who Spider-Man is. But how is this possible? It doesn’t make sense that there can be multiple Spider-Men with different stories. And one of the things we Spider-Man fans expect is tying it together. We saw that this could be possible in Spider-Man: The MultiVerse, which is another Spider-Man movie as well. In this movie, we see that there are multiple Spider-Men in the Universe with different timelines and stories; however, they are all Spider-Man.
The expectations Spider-Man fans have for this movie are very high. Now, I’m not saying this will all happen, but from what the trailer showed, these are a few possibilities of what could happen in Spider-Man: No Way Home:
- Having Toby McGuire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland all in the movie as different Spider-Men (Semi-possible).
- Bringing back all the villains Spider-Man has faced, including Green Goblin, Doc Oc, Sandman, and Electro (we already know Doc Oc is the main villain judging by the trailer).
- Possibly Venom teaming up with Spider-Man or another showdown of Spider-Man v.s. Venom (more likely teaming up).
- Setting up the MCU for the future for Spider-Man. Could this be the end of the Tom Holland era for Spider-Man?
Overall, Spider-Man: No Way Home has a lot to live up to. The trailer broke the record for the most viewed movie trailer in 24 hours. It is a highly anticipated film and has a lot in store for us.
