Fresh off a double-digit win vs Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Tuesday, OP traveled to Rahway for a 4 PM tipoff vs the Indians. An offensive frenzy of the first quarter propelled Rahway to an early 17-15 lead. The Rams, though, outscored Rahway in the second period by nine points. By halftime, OP had a 32-25 lead. The Rams just needed to hold the Rahway offense in check for the final 16 minutes. They did just that. OP topped the Indians 41-29 in the second half, securing a 73-54 win.

Mike Pirone led the way offensively for OP. The Junior converted on four 3-pointers on his way to 28 points. Senior Tommy Conniff had 16 points–including 4 dunks. Another Junior Greg Jones chipped in 14 points, including a 3-pointer. Freshman Asher Bradley scored 12 points as well.

OP has won 8 of their last 9 games, including 5 straight. In those 8 wins, OP has an average margin of victory of 20 points. In his last six games, Junior Mike Pirone is averaging over 27 points, including a career-high 38 against GL. OP improves to 11-3 on the year and 7-1 in the division.

Looking ahead for OP, they have two huge rivalry (and conference) games coming up against New Providence and Summit respectively.
