Why Yeat is the Greatest Artist of Our Generation.

Ahadu Kebede, Staff Writer

Earlier this week, underground rapper Yeat teased a music video with Cole Bennet on his Instagram. Cole Bennet is by far the most popular music video director of modern rap music, even scoring himself an Eminem video.

While Yeat is an underground artist, his recent tracks like “Sorry Bout That” and “Gët Busy” have blown up on social media platforms like TikTok, even earning him the cosign of popular rappers like Lil Yachty and Drake. Feats like this make us Yeat fans believe that when he drops his new album, 2Alive, he will hit #1 on the Billboard.

Yeat’s lyricism is simply undefeated, to the point where J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar couldn’t compete with it. Take this line for example:

This song already was turnt but here’s a bell ?.”

This is a powerful line that symbolizes an artist’s never-ending drive for perfection. Let me explain. While Yeat is singing his song, he notices that it was already exceptional, or “turnt” as he calls it. But he can’t just rest there. He needs to add something new, something unique, so he adds a bell. And just like that, the bell plays, and the song proceeds to get even more turnt, showing how taking risks with your music will always pay off.

For anyone looking for some real music, I suggest you tune in to the Lyrical Lemonade music video for his new song.
