This year we have a variety of new faces to our OP community. As such it is our duty to make these new additions feel welcome, we can do this by getting to know them better. One of these new faces is the new religion teacher, Ms. Biason. I was lucky enough to to ask her a few questions to introduce her to our wonderful OP family.
How many years have you been teaching for?
Ms. Biason: “18 years”
What courses are you teaching this year at Oratory?
Ms. Biason: “New Testament & World Religions”
Where have you worked in the past?
Ms. Biason: “Retail, Office Management, and Teaching.”
If you weren’t a teacher, what career would you pursue?
Ms. Biason: “I would pursue the career of being a therapist.”
What do you like to do in your free time?
Ms. Biason:”Whenever I have free time, I do whatever makes me happy!”
What words would you use to describe yourself?
Ms. Biason: “I would describe myself in two words, Empathetic and Kind.”
What is your favorite food?
Ms. Biason: “If I had to pick any type of food, I would have to go with Mediterranean.”
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Ms.: “My favorite bible verse is Joshua 1:9,” “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”(Bible Gateway).
What is your favorite part about teaching religion?
Ms. Biason: My favorite part is witnessing students apply what they have learned on their own journey of faith.
How has your experience at Oratory been so far?
Ms. Biason: My time at Oratory has been a truly wonderful experience!
