The documentary, “Kelce” which is directed by Don Argott takes an in-depth look at the star Eagles center Jason Kelce. It gives insights into his journey from his high school days to his upset Super Bowl victory with the Eagles back in 2018.
Viewers get to witness Kelce’s humor as well as his very authentic personality which help enhance the documentary. Kelce proves to be a likable figure which adds an extra dimension to the film. Throughout the documentary, there is a focus on Kelce’s leadership roles. The Center is a father, community leader, and leader for the Philadelphia Eagles. This is all shown through his fiery demeanor and passion for doing his best. It is also interesting to see the relationship between Jason and his brother, Travis. Both of them are football stars who have their own unique personalities and have been interlinked with each other. It is both interesting and comical to see how they interact.
Despite its strengths, the documentary falls short in many ways. Although it provides a fun snapshot into one of Philly’s favorites, it certainly fails to capture both his inner struggles and the adversity he faces throughout his life.
Overall, “Kelce” is only worth the watch if you are a die-hard football fan or a big Eagles fan. For the average person, it falls short, and it lacks the subsistence and depth needed to make it a great sports documentary.
