Loki Season 2 has come and gone. According to the Rotten Tomatoes critics consenus, “Loki’s dizzying, dazzling second season may rely on sleight of hand to distract from its slightly less satisfying storyline, but the end result still contains enough of that old Marvel magic to entertain.” In my opinion, the story remains innovative in its second season, an example of this is through it’s introduction of a variety of new terminology into the Marvel and Sci-Fi realm as a whole, such as time slipping (traveling back and forth to an exact point in time you were at), the temporal aura extractor, (which stops time slipping), and the temporal loom, which controls the sacred timeline and deletes a backlog of multiversal branches, among other things. Additionally, a variety of interesting and new characters are introduced, such as a variant of “He Who Remains” named Victor Timely, a compassionate and stuttering genius from the 19th century, the Head of TVA Repairs and Advancement, a man named Ouroboros, and variants of all the primary characters like Mobius, B-15, and Ouroboros among others.
The most interesting part of the season is the character development that Loki undergoes and its epic finale, with Loki transforming into the God of Stories. I highly recommend checking this one out as it has a lot of fun things in it and complements the strong season one in a good way.
