The Rams had just come off a 9-6 loss against Union Catholic going into senior day. The Rams are trying to play to gain the #12 seed in the Non Public A bracket of the state tournament. MJ Cohen took the mound for the Rams and looked to dominate. Cohen went 4 innings, no earned runs, and 5 strikeouts. Roselle Catholic did take a 4-0 lead in the top half of the first due to some Oratory fielding complications. The Rams got one back on a bases loaded walk, to make it 4-1. The Rams continued to chip away as they would get another run thanks to a Kevin Parker RBI. It was 4-2 going into the bottom of the sixth when Jalen Brogdon would tie the game up with a one out, 2 rbi double. Victor Larach then followed up with a 2 rbi hit of his own, putting the Rams up 6-4. Roselle Catholic fought back to tie the game, but that was no problem for the Rams. Costello would get on thanks to him bunting for a hit. Ryan Santoriello would move Costello over to 3rd, and Ben Gaffney would safety squeeze it for the win. The Rams bunted three consecutive times for the win, which was great play calling my Coach Blauner. The Rams play Union next in another conference matchup as their season starts to come to a close.
