I had the pleasure to talk with Ms. Dudek, who recently joined the Oratory community this fall, as an Admissions Assistant. Ms. Dudek came to Oratory from Wagner College. During her time at Wagner, she was apart of their lacrosse team. She decided to come to Oratory because it was a great opportunity to work with students. The school has been extremely welcoming to her and has felt like a family. She looks forward to coming to work every day. Outside of work, she likes to visit small coffee shops and coach lacrosse for her club team. She also loves to spend time with her family. Her favorite TV Shows are White Collar and Peaky Blinders.
Her favorite part of working at Oratory so far is not knowing the type of reaction she will get from students. She loves it when students pop in and talk to her and ask for advice. If Ms. Dudek’s face looks familiar it is because her Mom works at Oratory in the Cafeteria! She loves to pop down and see her Mom during the day. Her Mom makes sure she eats and checks on her. It felt like home right away. Ms. Dudek’s favorite holiday is Christmas as she says it is big in her family and everyone gets together and there is a lot of cooking.
Ms. Dudek hopes to still be at Oratory 10 years from now and she wants to own a house, be close to family, maybe start her own family, and sustain a career, not a job. She wants to create a positive influence on students and help them with their future.
