There have been three Grinch movies made from the years 1966-2018. There have been two cartoon movies and one real life made. All of them have been the same idea of the grinch stealing Christmas, but in a different way. In this article I will be telling you which movie tops the next.
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas! – 1966:
This is obviously a Christmas classic as most students here at OP have probably watched it. This movie ranks third out of three for a few key reasons. First it is only about twenty five minutes long. It gets right to the point, but this isn’t a great thing. It isn’t a movie you are able to watch with your family for “movie night”. It also has a lack of dialogue as the narrator is basically the only one talking. To the younger generations it is also a bit scary and boring.
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas – 2000:
This real life version of the Grinch is a very entertaining movie, but there are a few things wrong with it. For example, this movie can be seen as a little too harsh for some of the younger audiences. Another component of the movie that is sub par is that it can be seen as too long. Critics of the movie believe that it could be a little shorter and believe the producers could have made it more concise. Overall this movie is a great movie but it will never compare to the most recent grinch in 2018.
- The Grinch – 2018:
The newest cartoon grinch is the best grinch ever made. It has a great story line and truly focuses on the child a little more. The relationship between the kid and the grinch is apparent throughout the movie. It also has new added things to make the story flow more. The extra clips are funny and they show the true personality of the Grinch. The incorporation of the town in the movie helps the viewer see how evil the grinch is. This movie is great and the memes made through it are even better. Until another Grinch movie drops this is number 1.
