After a one-year hiatus, the engineering club is back at Oratory. The club is now known as the Engineering & Environmental Studies Club as it has been remodeled to include environmental stewardship. It is my hope that through this club, students interested in the field of engineering can learn new skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Mrs. Cantrell is the moderator for the club and Mr. Hoff is involved as well as he brings in an expertise of engineering. In the last few weeks since its birth, the club has grown to over 30 members spanning across all grade levels. The club also was approved for a grant from the parents guild which allowed us to invest in new engineering projects like solar powered robots. Furthermore, the club is planning a trip in the spring for members to possibly visit a college engineering program.
